HELP

The following steps will guide you through the process of booking a cottage. Please note that if you need help at any time you can call our local reservations team on 01580 720 770 who would be happy to guide you through the process or take your reservation by telephone.

  1. Click on the 'Book Now' button. This is an orange button located down the left hand side of the page.
  2. Use the drop-down menus to select how many nights you would like to go for, the month, what day you would like your holiday to start, the number of adults, children, infants and pets.
  3. When you have selected when you would like to go an availability listing will appear below the menu along with the price for the specified period. Where a line appears in green this means the property is available, or a grey line signifies that the property is already booked.
  4. Once you have found when you would like to go and would like to proceed to book the property, click on the orange 'Book This' button to the right. This will begin the booking process.
  5. There are 4 steps to the booking process. The first requires you to enter your details into the form provided. Please click on the orange 'Next Step' button at the bottom-right once you have fully completed the requested information.
  6. The next step requires you to enter the names and approximate ages of all the people staying at the property. Once complete, please proceed by using the orange 'Next Step' button.
  7. The third step summarises the total price including your booking fee and allows you to mention any specific requests you may have in the box provided. You will also need to specify how you would like to pay for your cottage, by either paying now by using a credit or debit card, or later by phone, bank transfer or cheque. You must also tick the box which confirms you have agreed to our terms and conditions before clicking on the orange 'Pay Now' button to proceed to the final step.
  8. If you have chosen to pay by credit or debit card please complete the information in the boxes provided then click on the orange 'Complete' button.
  9. A booking confirmation page will appear and you will be sent an email with a breakdown of costs and details of your arrival/departure dates. Please note, if you have chosen to pay later then this booking is provisional and you must contact us within five days to arrange payment.

Set in grounds of eleven acres and surrounded by woods and wildlife, Gamekeeper's Lodge offers simple and relaxed accommodation, perfect for getting away from it all yet just a fifteen minute walk by public footpath to the beautiful gardens of Sissinghurst Castle. The cottage dates from the early 1800s and was originally the gamekeeper's larder to the main house, which sits directly opposite. It has been renovated to retain much of its character, with many exposed beams and even the original butler's sink. The woodburner helps to make the Lodge a cosy and romantic retreat. The cottage looks out onto the most beautiful pond, home to wildfowl, exotic ducks and chickens and geese. As well as the wonderful walk to Sissinghurst Castle there are many others through acres of woodland and countryside accessed directly from the cottage by footpath. The charming country town of Cranbrook is only three miles away. Ground Floor:
Sitting/Dining Room/Kitchen is open plan, light and airy with a Sitting/Dining Area with an antique pine table and chairs, double sofa bed, antique pine wardrobe, occasional table, woodburner, TV/DVD and a large picture window with views to the pond and woods beyond. Kitchen Area with an electric hob, mini-oven and grill, butlers sink and a fridge with freezer compartment 
Shower Room is compact, with shower, washbasin, heated towel rail and w.c. and is situated off the kitchen area

Garden: Access through gate to pond area. Garden table and chairs in secluded corner overlooking the pond. Use of main lawn across the drive.
Parking: Directly in front of the cottage.
Heating: Instant hot water by electric water heaters. Heating by electric convection heaters plus woodburner.
Also Provided: Laundry service in main house- small charge
Notes: Children must be supervised in pond area at all times. The pond is also protected by an electric fence. The property is limited to a VisitEngland 2 star rating as the double bed can only be accessed from one side. Sorry - no mini-breaks available at this property.
