Railway Cottage is set in the garden of Railway House, right next to the signal box at Chartham Station so you are just a 4 minute train ride away from Canterbury. The detached cottage has been exceptionally well designed and finished to a very high standard, making it an appealing and luxurious holiday base for two. It is a few minutes drive to Historic Chilham with its 15th century Square, considered to be one of the most perfectly preserved medieval settings in South-east England - and with the train connection so close by - a trip across to France is easy to arrange. Chartham village is on the Great Stour river - providing power for the paper mills which date from the 18th Century and has a village store, pub and a church built in 1294 - home to the oldest peal bells in Kent.
