Within a few minutes' stroll lies a wealth of quaint antique shops, tea-rooms, restaurants and pubs and three miles away Camber Sands with its long sandy beach and Winchelsea - a historic delight as well as Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Rye and the surrounding 1066 countryside provide an excellent base for touring with many family attractions within the locality as well as a number of stately homes, wonderful castles and beautiful gardens to visit.
