The rural retreat didn't let us down again this year. [These guests became engaged in Butters Cottage, Easter 2008, spent part of their honeymoon there, Easter 2009, but had to cancel due to arrival of baby, Easter 2010].

Brilliant, the walks were full of scenery and Folly and Tumble were friendly. I dont think we would want to go anywhere else it was just perfect. The best holiday home we ever went to! Kate and Hanna

Very welcoming and well presented. Butters Cottage, although in a secluded rural location, was ideally situated for exploring '1066 country'and the beach. A complete break from city living.

The cottage was a present in itself and we enjoyed every minute staying here. We absolutely had no idea that it would be so well equipped [2003]. Our 6th year staying in Butters Cottage has been very satisfying again [2009]

It was very special staying in a cottage with so much history. The garden around the cottage were one big adventure for our children (4 and 2). They loved playing by the little stream in the field, running up the steps to the meadow, and playing with Tumble and Folly.

The silence and green surroundings are wonderful, especially when you come from a densely populated suburb near Brussels. The cottage is absolutely charming and well equipped. Another big hit was the bird feeders - one could sit for hours just watching them.
