The area is famous for the Camber Sands where miles of sand dunes makes Camber an ideal seaside holiday home destination for children and water sport devotees. The unspoilt, majestic, beach is known as quite possibly the finest strand on the south coast and the clean sea is great for paddling. The village has been the chosen location for many films and is near a Site of Special Scientific Interest with a number of different habitats including salt marsh, shingle and saline lagoons.
