The area around our Vines Cross cottages were a centre of cannon production for several centuries, Boring House Farm playing its part in ensuring the correct bore diameter for the weapons. Close to Vines Cross is the Sussex Farm Museum which provides an informative record of agricultural life in the region and organises Nature Trails through the local valleys and woodlands.
