Thyme Lodge is one of seven houses which were originally retreats for an ancient Order of Nuns and is now a delightful, recently updated holiday home, and is located in superb peace and tranquillity in park-like grounds with fruit trees, shrubs and ornamental trees in the grounds of a lovely Oast house (unoccupied and formerly the Library for the Order). During the relevant seasons, apples, rhubarb and gooseberries are all available for guests to enjoy. Guests are also welcome to walk and explore the owners' 10 acres of paddocks and fields. This is an ideal area for walkers with a wealth of footpaths and walkways, yet within easy access of Staplehurst and for visiting the many beautiful gardens, castles, historic houses and National Trust properties in the region.
