How to get to Rural Kent

Rural Kent offers extremely good access from mainland England and abroad. For holidaymakers who have booked one of our cottages in Kent we have put together the following guide for travelling to this beautiful part of the country:

Road:

There is a motorway network which links all ports of entry from Europe with the M25. This provides access from London and all points North and West.

For Kent cottages near Faversham or Canterbury the M2/A2 provides direct access, or for holiday homes near Maidstone or Ashford the M20 would be the best road to take.

Sea:

The famous port of Dover offers frequent ferries from Calais and Dunkirk, and there is also a service between Ramsgate and Ostend.

Rail:

Trains from London Charing Cross and London Victoria run frequently and take about an hour.

The fantastic service offered by Eurotunnel provides a high-speed train from Calais to Folkestone through the Channel Tunnel. The Eurostar trains from Brussels, Lille and Paris stop in Ashford and Ebbsfleet.

Air:

Located near Ramsgate, Manston Airport offers regular flights to numerous destinations including Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast.
